Travel Photography: Best of 2017

2017 was the year that I finally bested my DSLR camera. It was like one of those standoff's you see in Western movies, except I always kept losing. I let my intimidation of this inanimate object get the best of me, until one day I realized it was just the silliest thing, and if I was ever going to get anywhere with photography, I needed to put my big girl pants on and just start shooting.

So that's exactly what I did. And while I certainly have a long way to go and much to learn, I captured some pretty amazing shots this year. Below are a handful of my favorites:

Seeing what I was able to do with zero training, simply by stepping out of my comfort zone, casting doubt aside, and just going for it, is inspiring.

I can't wait for all the adventures I'll have this year and to continue to learn my way around my camera to improve my photography skills!

Cheers!
