2018 Blog Changes...

Lifestyle travel blog changes 2018

Some of you have noticed the subtle changes here on Ordinary Girl, Extraordinary World, or saw some references on my Instagram stories (@ordinarygirlxtraordinaryworld) about new sections, so I wanted to take a quick moment to update everyone officially, on my not-so-secret changes.

First off, let me just say that Ordinary Girl, Extraordinary World is still a travel blog. First and foremost, travel is my love, my passion, and I'll be keeping up with all the regular travel guides, resources, tips, tricks and photography.

What I'm adding to the blog is a bit of a lifestyle touch. Because I do work a 9-5 and am not constantly on the road traveling, I want to share a bit of my life with you all. For example, I'm always reading a book (or 2 or 3) and am going to start a monthly book review series, focusing on books either related to travel or set in beautiful countries (see - still a travel theme!).

I'm also constantly cooking when I'm at home, and just like when I'm on the road I'm going to really dedicate 2018 to getting healthy, which includes cleaner eating and wholesome ingredients, so I'll be sharing some of my favorite easy and delicious recipes that you can make.

I'm also really close to being all non-toxic in my skincare, makeup, and household products and becoming completely non-toxic is a 2018 goal of mine (I referenced that in my 2018 non-travel related goals), so I want to share that journey with you all and why it's important to me.

Finally, I am going to be doing some remodeling to my 923 square foot house. Not 'knock the walls out and go all Chip and Joanna Gaines' (at least not yet), but I'm going to use the space I have and modernize my home a little bit, so I'll be sharing all of the updates. If you haven't seen my Insta stories, than first up is my office!

So that's it. At least for now. I'm finally settling into my little corner of the internet over here at Ordinary Girl, Extraordinary World and am really excited to evolve to more of a travel + lifestyle blog, and I hope that I can pass along some inspiration to you.

Xoxo,
Heather
